Task Alert – Choccy Chops

After yesterday’s task, which saw the housemates drink smoking glasses of magical potions, Big Brother has a food-related task to liven up their Sunday.

The housemates will be called to the Diary Room, where they wil be presented with a plate of chocolate fingers, and told that they must balance as many chocolate fingers in and on their faces as they possibly can. They can put them in their mouths, stick the in their ears and balance them on their noses (if that’s even possible).

As it’s a Sunday, Big Brother is being laid back, and will judge the winner of the task to be whichever housemate creates the most creative and inventive Choccy Chops.

Day 61 in the Big Brother House

The dust hadn’t really settled on Day 61 after a night filled with the trauma of an eviction and a White Room exit that’s already taken its place in the BB history books.

Unsurprisingly, Luke S awoke at quite a low ebb. He diagnosed himself with mixed emotions. Which is probably fair enough considering he’d just been released from captivity, 74 hours spent with a chap he thought was one of his best pals, only to have that same dude run away with a cool £50,000 he could’ve pocketed for himself.

Conor and Becky leaving on the same evening didn’t have the same effect on everyone though. Deana and Luke A took stock of their new House situation and, overall, felt it wasn’t too shabby. They then went on to agree that it’s not all about the money. Which is a nice sentiment, but maybe not one Conor would agree with at this moment in time.

As Luke S and Ashleigh got into their day, Sara chipped in with her opinion on the events of the previous evening before embarking on a rambling story that everyone enjoyed. Sort of. But luckily for Luke S, who was starting to look exhausted by all White Room-based discussions, a task soon came along to keep them all occupied.

The Magic Potions task saw housemates called to the Diary Room and offered an enchanted brew to sip. After glugging at a bottle, they returned to the House and saw that their roomies were overcome with the effects of whatever they’d imbibed. The results saw fun and frolics flow through the House (as if by magic, almost), and when they learned they’d won themselves a party, it was almost as if the eviction and that White Room stuff had never happened. They danced as they prepared for the party, with all divisions obliterated.

The sudden change in dynamic meant our housemates were a little dazed. Without anything to gossip about, they discussed what the heck they’d talk about these days, now that they found themselves at peace. Scott and Sara wondered how it’d be without the ‘big personalities’. As the cocktails flowed, the magic spell wore off for Luke S, who fell back into a funk after Deana dropped a minor clanger.

The evening ended early. Extremely early for this lot, with everyone in bed by midnight. Scott chatted with Adam and Luke A and, with no war left to fight and no team talks required, everyone had brushed their pearly-whites and jumped into bed before you could count any sheep.

An early night might well do them some good considering Day 60 was so intense. Enjoy your lie in, housemates.

Task: Magical mystery potions

Understandably, after losing two very big characters, the House has been a little hushed today, and Luke S is still in a bit of a funk.  So Big Brother has a magical task to brighten up the housemates’ day.

Housemates will be called one by one into the Diary Room and given a mystery magical potion to drink, without knowing what the ‘effects’ will be. When they return to the House, the other housemates, who have been told the effects of each other’s potions, will react as if affected by Big Brother’s magic concoctions.

Will they be smitten by a love potion, frozen with fear or confused by a housemate’s sudden invisibility? Check back soon to find out.

Day 60 in the Big Brother House

A big personality like Becky’s is difficult to overshadow at the best of times but Conor managed to steal her thunder with a shock exit which left us much lighter on housemates than we were this morning. Before we go there, let’s rewind.

Eviction days are often fraught and this was one was different. Deana and Becky had a silly tiff – we can’t really blame them, they had a lot on their minds.

BB lightened the mood with a task to win a cream tea party. Housemates had to take it in turns to smash a cream pie in their own face after what they believed to be 60 seconds. They failed. This was Luke S’s first disappointment of the day. At that point, three days into The White room task, he may well have thought things could not get any worse.

The rest of the day was dominated by the usual pre-evicition preening. Ashleigh flipped out when she decided she had nothing suitable to wear but Big Brother calmed her down and Adam gave her a hug.

Before we knew it, the fake tan was on, the curlers had been taken out and seven housemates were sitting on the sofa waiting to hear who the public liked least. The boys in The White Room remained oblivious. It was Becky who lost out, leaving the House as she entered it, fist pumping and yelling ‘c’mon’. If Brian had been by a pool she would have probably thrown herself into it.

Before her departure could sink in, BB had the bombshell to end all bombshells to drop. Luke S and Conor were given the chance to take the money and run –well some of it that is. The pair had a minute to decide whether to take a share of the prize money which rose steadily in the 60 seconds.

We were actually on the edge of our seats. As the prize fund approached the £50k mark, Luke S went to press his buzzer but Conor was too quick for him. A devastated Luke S let a few tears leak from his wide eyes as Conor hot-footed it out of the House with a case load of cash.

Housemates were aghast and spent the evening debating what they would have done. Luke S told Ashleigh he would now be known as ‘the guy who almost won 50 grand’ – nice positive spin as ever.  The other six remaining have been telling Luke S that a place in the final is sufficient balm to soothe his wounded soul. He has agreed that his fast track to the final makes up for losing the cash but we are not convinced. Tomorrow is another day and there is not much chance we have the last of his £50k fail.

Conor wins £50K and is evicted

The White Room task saw a prize money twist which saw both Conor and Luke S  with a chance to win £50K.

Conor and Luke both pressed the button but Conor was faster and won the money and left the house straight away. This means Luke S has won a pass to the final.

This means the remaining housemates are Adam, Ashleigh, Deana, Luke A, Luke S, Sara and Scott.

Rebecca Hannon is the ninth to be evicted

Rebecca Hannon best known as Becky has been the ninth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

She lost her place to Ashleigh, Deana and Luke A who were all saved.

Becky wasn’t one of the first 16 people to enter the house on Launch night she was the winner of the Wildcard which was voted by viewers and entered on Day 4.

White Room Dilemma for Conor and Luke S

A new White Room twist has been revealed calling it ‘the biggest of the series’ where Conor and Luke S will be given the chance to take £50k of the £100k prize money but they’ll be evicted if they do.

Tuesday saw Conor, Luke S and Sara move into the White Room – a special four day task, where they would compete in challenges to win a pass for the final.

Just over a day later Sara was the first to leave the room, leaving Conor and Luke S fighting for the prize.

During tomorrow’s live eviction Big Brother will tell Conor and Luke S that they may take the money, but immediately leave the house and make the Live Eviction the first double as either Ashleigh, Becky, Deana and Luke A will be voted out.

If neither of them choose to take the money the prize fund will stay at £100k.
